NEW CONCEPTION OF JAZZ 30 YEARS!

The year is 1996, and Bugge Wesseltoft is busy making music history. Inspired by techno, club scenes, and DJs, he brought together young talents and established musicians in a project that would turn the concept of jazz upside down. The world premiere took place at Nattjazz that same year, and 30 years later the band is back with a new concert.

The album—released the same year—received very positive international acclaim and is regarded as one of the starting points of what became a revitalization of European jazz. New Conception of Jazz played hundreds of concerts around the world and released five albums over the ten years they were active—and now they are finally back where the adventure began.
