A bit of Soft Machine, a bit of Frank Zappa, a bit of Weather Report—lots of 1970s prog-jazz, and enormous amounts of sheer joy in playing. The young South Korean quintet fuses technique and enthusiasm with a love of pop, rock, modern jazz, and free improvisation, drawing on influences ranging from Dave Douglas and Billy Harper to major K-pop stars. Individually, they work all over the world, but they have come together in Seoul for a collective effort focused on innovative compositions and structural elegance.
