The drum phenomenon with a solo project
Veslemøy Narvesen—whom many have come to know in recent years as a versatile and in-demand drummer—has established herself on the Norwegian music scene through bands such as Mall Girl, Dafnie, and Schemes Quartet. With her second album under her own name, Narvesen once again reveals many facets of her musicality, taking on the roles of multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and arranger. She now pushes the boundaries of what modern and alternative pop music can be, with a clear openness to musical impulses and references—drawing on elements of classical music, jazz, and pop—combined with her unique perspective from the drum stool.
