The charismatic saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin quickly found her ideal path between jazz, hip hop, and soul, which led to performances with artists such as Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys. After two albums of urban jazz and funk, she chose to explore the music of John and Alice Coltrane together with former Coltrane musicians like Ron Carter, as well as other greats such as Dee Dee Bridgewater and Regina Carter.
