A unique feminist music project with powerful poetic voices! The three English Brontë sisters and the American Emily Dickinson wrote poetry on separate continents nearly 200 years ago. They produced an enormous body of work with extremely high quality, often featuring deeply emotional texts that still resonate with us today. With Solveig Slettahjell’s expressive voice, the texts take on a new dimension, while the music is rooted in traditional songwriting, yet cultivated into a modern expression with cool sounds and striking contrasts. In 2014, In the Country, Solveig Slettahjell, and Knut Reiersrud released the Spellemann Award-nominated live album *Norwegian Woods*, recorded during the concert series *Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic*. Since then, they have toured festivals and concert halls in Norway, Germany, and the USA with their studio album *Trail of Souls* in 2015. Now, they are finally back with *Remembrance* – a tribute to all daughters, mothers, and women!
