Bergen Youth Big Band (BUS) was established by Bergen Cultural School in 2005 and is a program for particularly dedicated and talented young musicians in Hordaland aged 12 to 19. In collaboration with various guest artists – including Fliflet/Hamre, Dag Arnesen, and Geir Lysne – the big band has long been a regular feature at Nattjazz.

Now it is Dag Arnesen’s turn, with the master pianist writing original arrangements especially for the occasion and taking the lead himself as a fellow musician alongside the young talents. This will be a meeting between generations—between experience and curiosity, tradition and the future. A powerful, playful, and inspiring big band sound, where the energy of youth meets the musical depth of one of our greatest performers.
